Hello, I am new here.
Recently (in 2012, December actually) I downloaded some "dirs" from cd.textfiles.com. With FDM, it worked mostly like a charm (except this index.html, but I can delete it manually
)
Today I accidentally deleted one of this dirs - Adventures in Heaven 2 - and tried to redownload it... Unsuccessfully!
It's very strange, as only major difference here is my system: I changed my old WinXP for Win8. So
maybe it's system problem. But it's strange anyway.
Let me to describe it in detail.
1. I am adding link
http://cd.textfiles.com/aventheaven2 to HTML-Spider, selecting depth 99, keep structure, no .htm extension, download pics and files, download from
http://cd.textfiles.com/aventheaven2 only, subdirs included.
Result: I am downloading only one file aventhaven2, without extension, that is definitely index.html actually! No more downloads happens.
2. Same sets, but "add .htm" checked.
Result: everything starts to download, but all files without extensions receiving .htm.
3. Same like 1, but add macros "add server name/dir name".
Result: everything starts to download, but all files are in related folders!
(So former aventhaven2/cdmenu.bat become aventhaven2/cd.textfiles.com/aventheaven2/cdmenu.bat)
Moreover, after I stopped it and removed download, I wouldn't able to start it again - same result as 1.
4. If I am trying to download
http://cd.textfiles.com/aventheaven2 directly on "downloads" page, it correctly downloads index.html (not aventhaven2, as in all other cases).
What's happening? Is FDM simply unstable under Win8, or am I missing something?
