They are segments of transport streaming compatible with MPEG DASH standard. If I understood you correctly, they were playable in your media player, so they weren't protected with DRM (encrypted).

You can go to your Firefox cache (it's in %APPDATA%\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles subfolder and search for file containing list of segments m3u8. Then you can download all segments and just merge (combine) them into a single ts file.

Really? MPEG DASH standard was published in April, 2012. In recent months it has been revised as MPEG-DASH ISO/IEC 23009-1:2019.
