Re: Right click EXIT does not stop FDM
Because of browser integration. If you want to not use FDM to download, either disable integration, or enable the option allowing you to only download when pressing ALT.

Re: FDM plugin for IE11 unable to download correctly
This also happens if IE is called by another program that is running with elevated privileges - such as a file installer. I have yet to figure out how to make it work on IE with elevated privileges. I usually just copy the link (or else set IE to open previous tabs), close IE, and run it normally an...

Re: Built in Checksum tool
You have that ability already. It can currently check MD5 / SHA-1 checksums. When downloading, go to Advanced , then Integrity tab. You can even specify what FDM should do if hte checksums do not match in the main program Settings page. Of course, you need to have the "Show download dialog"...

Re: Free Download Manager FireFox plugin
Well, I'm sorry I don't have more info to give on that. (...) I elaborate on this, because, before Firefox 25, I never bothered to try left-clicking on those links(...) NOW what happens, when I try to use "Download with FDM" in the BYTubeD case, is that, like with the Blip example I tried...

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Its perfect but I have noticed if I have been using FDM for a few hours it gets 'groggy' as in it forgets to download and it seems to reduce to 9 bytes only? Try clearing your history. It's been noticed and documented in the past that when the history gets really large, FDM starts acting goofy. Giv...

Re: Please start bug squashing.
Correction - it *should* replace with underscore - but it does not, as evidenced from my example of what actually happens.

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Free Download Manager plugin cannot download flash! Firefox version 26.0 I installed the latest FDM ver. 3.9.3 lite, and plugin 1.6.0. Normally, when playing a video in youtube, there will be a small icon at the corner but it no longer appears. I tried copy and paste into flash video download in FD...

Re: Free Download Manager FireFox plugin
All context menu (right click) options "Download ... with Free Download Manager” are designed for regular download using direct links. They may NOT work properly if links are redirected (for example in file hosting services using CAPTCHA) or if downloads are available in some other way (f.e. u...

Re: FDM FAQ
Q: I have the setting Append comment to the file name when done enabled in FDM, but sometimes my comments do not get appended. Other times it works perfectly fine. Why? A: This setting works really well in most cases - however, when it does not work, it's really not FDM's fault. It's not (really) y...

Re: FF25 breaks FDM 3.9.3b1360
So from the looks of it each time FDM updates this would involve uninstalling previous FDM and then CCleaner and reinstall the newer FDM to get the latest plugin to work with FF. That what I found to work so far but one just have to redo their customized settings a chore but this methods works for ...

Re: download PDF files using FDM
Weird. I use a combination of StromRider and Usher's solutions. If I want to view in browser, I just click on the link to the PDF. If I want to view it from my local machine via Acrobat (Love my University - $50 for Acrobat X full product :D) I let FDM DL, and when it is complete if I launch it (and...

Re: Please start bug squashing.
This has been a prevalent bug for a while now - I just keep forgetting to mention it. I have the option to Append comment to the file name when done setting enabled so I can use the comment box for useful information - E.g. When downloading HP SPXXXXX.exe files (drivers for their machines) Instead o...
