Re: Script error after Tuesday patch update
I also had 18 updates installed on Path Tuesday (early Thursday morning, actually, as they are all dated 7/11/2013) and only one of them has to deal with IE 10: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems (KB2846071) Installation date: 7/1...

Re: Redirect to HTTPS version
Good idea - as soon as FDM 5 becomes more robust by including other features that currently exist in FDM 3, I'll be willing to try it.
But this is a great feature to as k for, both in the new alpha as well as the current gen FDM 3....

Re: FDM FAQ
Q: Sometimes when I try to download a file from my browser, FDM just sits there without taking the URL and eventually times out after a very long time, and I'm forced to download the file directly in my browser. Why does this happen? A: With Windows Vista / 7 / 8 most applications run with regular ...

Re: FDM FAQ - Firefox troubleshooting
Q: How do I use FDM with Firefox / Mozilla-derived browsers? A: First of all, FDM supports all of the latest 32bit Firefox / Mozilla derivatives, except the most recent (aka Nightly builds). If you are having issues, see http://freedownloadmanager.org/board/viewtopic.php?p=36150#p36150 for instruct...

Re: Win7 64-bit UAC errors and workaround
Did you by chance accidentally re-run the installer after a dialog box popped asking if the program had installed correctly and you accidentally clicked on "Reinstall with ..." button? The reason I ask is that I've installed FDM on numerous Win 7 x64 installations, and my install has never...

Re: Is FDM lite version contain P2P feature
from http://freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm
FDM Lite version requires less size and lacks some functions (BitTorrent support, video conversion) that can be downloaded and installed as plugins later.

Re: I got the error like this when ever the computer started
That also sounds like it could be a problem with a missing .DLL that should already be installed in the Windows system directory (or else corrupted by malware).

Re: Firefox Compatibility
It's considered a bad idea to post your email address on public forums - it's an easy way to open your email address up to targeting by spambots and scammers / phishers. As for compatibility, it is currently compatible with Fix 22- Fx 24 (only missing the brand new Firefox Nightly 25 alpha builds). ...

No, b/c not everyone has a Download folder in their User profile.
For example, me - I tried to open %USERPROFILE%\downloads and received an error that hte location could not be found.
Also, FDM can run as

Read the FAQ, please. Usher, would you mind posting the link to the FDM FAQ in your signature (or else make the word FAQ clickable to hte FDM FAQ thread)? I've been a long time FDM user and I just spent 10 minutes looking for it b/c I kept opening the *board* software FAQ instead of the actual FDM ...

Re: FDM 3.9.2
@mdhossain - does the URL remain constant if you download it in a browser without hte use of FDM, or does it change on a session basis or something like that? I normally see FDM try to DL files with no file name when I get a URL like the one you listed that has no actual filename appended to the end...
