i can't find post similar to this topic. Well basically it would be great to set up folders for different categories of files e.g. compressed, programs, videos etc. otherwise my download folder gets cluttered like hell and can't find files easily. Basically this feature is available in IDM and is very useful and makes everything organised in the download folder. And i know that there is option to do it automatically but is does so in the User folders but i want all downloaded files in download dir. within their respective dir. and also the download dir. is in another drive.
And thanks for your hard work.... :D

Hello,
Did you try to use Fixed folder option + macros? E.g. , set it to something like: E:/Downloads/%content_type%.
Is it not enough for you?

hello,

is there any way to change the name of the folders that the macros make ?
eg: change .exe files download location from "Divers" to "Programs"

Please add option to define custom folders for different file types. Used to use IDM and this feature was very helpful to organise downloads on multiple computers so that you can find files easily when you need them. Liked FDM the best but this is a lacking feature.
