Tight integration with mozilla net suite / firefox would be a great feature since no one has this feature.
And i`m sure with the amount of users now prefering mozilla based browser there would be alot of happy FDM users

Firefox is actually the second used browser on the market already (unfortunately IE is still alone at the top of the list and I think we all know why...) so it is definetly a must have feature to add complete support for it and for the Mozilla suite.
Of course there's some extensions that let you choose what program to use for downloading files already available. Launchy for example is very good one. Launchy doesn't support FDM yet though but I have sent email to the author of the extension and hopefully FDM will get listed in Launchys download managers soon. You can get launchy from http://update.mozilla.org.

most likely that will not happen as both downloadwith and launchy work on the system that they pass the url in question to the download manager as a commandline option. this means that either there have to be written a program that is able to hand the url on over to the manager or the manger must support commandline options...
Firefox works for me very well. I activated netscape and mozilla firefox in the settings of FDM and it captured all downloads since this time. Also it seems to overwrite the getright plugin that i have installed and normally takes over the downloads.
Don´t know if it can catch all downloads, since i use it just for two days...
By the way. I still use old firefox 0.8.
For me the aim would be to just port all features of flashget to FDM. Or at least the most of them. I got old flashget version 1.40 running. Runs very well so i never thought of upgrading.
At the moment FDM looks just like a cheap copy of flashget.
Only the working browser integration to firefox is the top feature of FDM.

command-line-parameters for KVP Personal 5
Hi.
Just found your prog and I really like it.
I understand the anti-virus scanning works with KVP 4,
but I was unable to find this feature for KVP 5.
(even a webrecherche for such parameters did not yield.
It might be best to add the KVP *4* number to the VS-feature
within your program, as downloaded files will not be scanned
by KVP*5*, without the user noticing, if KVP had not been started b4, I guess.
To test this behaviour, there is a website with a test-virus-pattern:

The best integration of a download manager in firefox that I have used would go to flashget and Net-transport thanks to a plugin called flashgot which allows both these download managers to function as if they were under IE (right click), if FDM were to function as this would FDM would have a larger support base.
