Open FDM menu Options | Settings | New Download, press "Advanced" button, go to "Miscellaneous" tab and turn on "Set the date of a file identical…" option.

Dear FDM developers;
I have used all the download managers available in the market but FDM 3.x is the best i have ever used. I always wanted to see the classic version updated and supported to new features. If you revamp and redesign FDM 3.10 (windows only) then it will be very good.
FDM 3.10 lite
1. only one download tab that will show all the downloads (files, video, html spider etc).
2. remove category and remove other settings. just normal download manager.
3. FDM 3.10 will support yt-dlp or youtube-dl (without python).
4. browser integration with download with FDM button over web videos.
thanks

Hello,
I know you are the biggest FDM3 fan here. But, honestly, do you have any REAL reason to stick with FDM3 and not switch to FDM6?
Sometimes an existing experience can prevail over getting a new better one. Think about it.
Anyway, you need to admit that there will be no more FDM3 development. And there are a lot of reasons for that.

Dear Alex;
FDM 6.x is nice but i am few reasons to stick with FDM 3.x
1. Lighter UI and installation size
2. download table is not buggy.
i wish following changes in FDM 6.x
1. lighter foot print (not possible due to qt)
2. can i get more customization like separate filename, size, progress, eta, speed, downloaded and dateadded (with hide and show option for all)
if you make these changes i will (many others do) shifts from other (including FDM 3.x) to FDM 6.x
thanking you

or you can make two types of download table panel
1. as it is (two row download ui for each download)
or
2. single separate download ui like FDM 3.9

Hello,
What do you mean "lighter UI" ?
Installation size - why is it a problem for you? Do you have any REAL issues caused by FDM6 size?
darkseid wrote:2. download table is not buggy.
Download table IS buggy in FDM6? What do you mean?

1. We use Qt for a reason. It helps us to keep FDM free with no REAL cost to the end user.
2. Latest FDM6 allows to show/hide some columns in the downloads table. Try it.

1. I did not understand.
2. If I understood you right, this feature exists in FDM6. You can enable it in Preferences | General | Downloads | Enable standalone downloads windows.

dear developers;
FDM 3.x is good to stick to FDM if you implements few features than it will be great
1. support for http, ftp, rtsp, mms, dash, hds and hls protocol skip if it is available
2. support to show "download with FDM" over/above web player in all browsers (IE, EDGE, chrome, firefox.. etc)
3. atleast keep a lite classic version alive for older pc.
thanking you

and kindly add 2 add link buttons
1. download starts immediately as it is there
2. parse link using youtube-dl/addons but the FDM 3.10 lite will support youtube-dl directly without installing python.

I spent several hours today trying to figure out why FDM 3.9.7 gives an "unknown network error" when downloading files larger than 2 GB through HTTPS, until I eventually realized that for whatever reason, FDM negotiates TLS v1.2 for files up to 2 GB, but then downgrades to TLS v1 for larger files, and since TLS v1 is now deprecated and removed from every web server, it simply doesn't work for large files anymore. Is there any way to override this behavior so that FDM uses TLS v1.2 in all cases?
Note that I understand this problem doesn't exist in the FDM 6.x branch, but FDM 6.x still has a long way to go until it supports all the functionality FDM 3.9.x does (more details:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18258&p=49945#p49945).

dear alex and FDM development team;
I have used all the download manager available in the market. But i really liked fdm 3.x and initially my problem was
1. showing multiple tab instead of one for all download.
2. support for video downloading from chrome and other browsers by showing download button above web players.
for some instance some problem was fixed by FDM team until they released FDM 6.x. I didn't had any problem until they decided to stop the development of FDM 3.x version. i requested you many times and requesting you now kindly resume the service of FDM 3.x because people like us using older hardware will use FDM in future and implements following features
1. video download options above web players in IE, EDGE, FIREFOX, CHROME and related browsers.
2. option to use yt-dlp or youtube-dl directly in FDM 3.x without installing python.
thanks

Hello,
I don't think there is a way to force FDM3 to use TLS v1.2 always. I don't even know why it behaves so. Maybe it's because of a bug in cURL or WinInet. Sorry to say that, but we do not support FDM3 anymore. However, it's an open source project. That's why you can still make your FDM3 working again. Just do some work on it or find someone willing to do it for you.
P.S. Take a look at
my answer here.

Thank you for your response. Where can I find the source code for v3.9.7?

@tipkul
Hello if you wish to customize FDM 3.9.x then kindly do me a favor kindly modify following things and send me the modified FDM.
1. support for all downloads (http, https, ftp, hls and hds etc).
2. support to download videos and other files from browser
3. modify the main UI (I will let you know if you do it then).
OR
1. create a new project and separate core download and UI so than you can add multiple protocol in your own custom UI.
thanking you.
