thanks, now it works fine with Opera 11.60
but still don't work with datafilehost.com
If you're mainly using these download hosts, like megaupload.com, hotfile.com, etc...
you better use JDownloader, which is updated almost daily for supporting these sites, including automatically filling in recaptcha's, and the way these filehosting sites change things almost daily, it's impossible to expect a 1-man-only program like FDM to be able to support these. You definatelly need to check out JDownloader, and look for a plugin for it called "Captchabrotherhood" or "Captchatrader"
nope, is not like megaupload/rapidshare and related hosts, datafilehost.com is a DD host, (it don't require captcha and related things) just single click and download.
but for some reason is not working with FDM.

This version of FDM has a lot of changes. First of all it was built using the updated version of developing environment. There were made many changes in codes for this. Also it has some other additions and changes. We would like our users to test it before we could make the release version.
Download 3.8 RC4
(the link is permanent for all the further updates of 3.8 version).
3.8 RC4 build 1172. (Dec 16, 2011)
Changes:
[*] Windows 2000 is not supported.
[-] Problem downloading videos from youtube.
[-] General bug fixes.

Re: FDM 3.8 Release Candidate 4
I have a strange phenomenon with Firefox 8 and Seamonkey 2.5: Sometimes, FF will not save files or print. Clicking "save page" just does nothing, print will produce a beep, downloading cannot save.
It happened since I installed FDM beta in August, at that time with FF7. No improvement during updates of FF, SM or FDM.
I am not sure whether FDM causes the problems. But, if I disable the plugin, the problem is gone. However, other changes to the plugins also had the functionality of FF restored, for a short time.
It seems that the problem arises when I download something with FDM before saving something in FF. But, since it does not always happen, it is just a guess.
Please have a look into the plugin compatibility with FF and SM.
Update: with the plugin disabled, it still happens when I first download something with FDM, using clipboard.

I already posted bugreports (here, for example: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15661 ) but nothing has changed. Unpredictable results are going on.
Did you try 3.8 RC2?
YES! I am trying all FDM builds over the months of the last, but NOTHING has changed.
Random downloads can be randomly stopped while downloading, being not completely downloaded.
FDM can start download file from the same server which is using for another active download, even when MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CONNECTIONS PER ONE SERVER is set to 1.
And THAT IS PROBLEM, because:
1. It is impossible to add many downloads to list and forget about them - it is nececcary regularry to check - "what if some downloads are interrupted?" - and start them manually.
2. When server does not support resuming of download, it is neccary to delete incompletely downloaded file and start it from the beginning.

Re: FDM 3.8 Release Candidate 4
I am using build 1172 of RC4. IE7 browser window cannot be closed because the add-on hangs the IE7 shutdown process. I am using WinXP Home SP3.

It seems flash video monitoring in IE is broken again.

A fine gift for the New Year!
Finally Free Download Manager developers released today its final (and long overdue) version, 3.8, build 1173. It is available both in the full and lite versions in the website.
Thank you all for the fine job.

Ever since FDM has worked with FF4 I have had memory problems (leaks) in Firefox. If I disable the FDM plugin then FF behaves correctly. Currently on beta 3 of FF6 and the latest build of FDM 3.8 b3.
Currently on the 3.8 release and FF9 and still seeing this issue. Tried disabling add-ons one by one and its only doing it with FDM enabled. Memory use goes about 100MB extra than normal after a few minutes then after 10 minutes or so of heavy browsing (lots of windows open) it will be double, treble within an hour and getting sluggish. FDM disabled and I can browse like that fine for days and days!

And an even finer gift - as of this build, the plugin is working quite well with Firefox Nightly build 12.0a1!
I am stoked that this works natively in Fx again.
Thank you, Alex and all of the devs contributing to this!

I am using Windows 7 Ultimmate(32 bit).
thanks!!
I noticed on Win7 Home Premium (64bit) :
If you click once on any Desktop icon, the "Download It" button is gone.
If you click twice the button comes back.
It has something to do, how many clicks you make.
But basically FDM V3.8B1173 works on Win7(64bit) with the IE8 (32bit).
