PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
The new extension seems to work ok.
Now, where/how do I selected the file types I want FDM to download? The extension has no configurable options. Or do I have to do it from within FDM itself?

Scratch that, the extension is still catching images it shouldn't. Nothing's been fixed, actually.

Not fixed yet in extension v.3.0.5Usher wrote:FDM extension seems to properly ignore regular links like hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page/index.html but it tries to catch links with no extension like hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page/ or hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page or even with parameters added like hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page/search?q=dummy
Still catches this link in FDM 3.9.7 with extension v.3.0.5.flagpole wrote:http://www.blogtalkradio.com/dax-global-radiox-russellbrand/podcast

What do you mean "I'm up to date"?
I'm using the latest version of the extension, 3.0.5.

Hi. I've been having an issue in Firefox since I upgraded to FDM version 5.1.33 Build 6791 (64-bit), Oct 27/2017.
FDM extension ignores my settings about files with extensions to skip and catches stuff it shouldn't.
I've already updated my Firefox extension to 3.0.5
Thanks in advance

Can't find or get the 3.x.x extension no matter what I try. Windows 7 ultimate.
There is an idiot third party extension but i couldn't get it to work even with their annoying client thing which is just a couple of old-fashioned batch files, when it didn't work I got rid of it & cleaned my registry to remove traces.
Rather have the genuine article from you guys but where is it? Not on your d/l page or Mozilla's add-on, and they changed the way they categorise the bloody thing, surprising can find anything.
So where is it?
OK, saw that I only had v#1636 now upgraded to v#1638 and now I lost the ext.2.2.3 that was in Firefox ESR.
Then I looked and 2.2.3 was gone from the legacy list in 57 as well.
What the hell is that? Nothing showing up in FF v.57 Why can't I find a separate file for that? Making me nuts....
now I have to do things the old way with extra steps.
Usher: I cut & paste before I saw your answer, don't think I can go back at this point to 1636, didn't save old install file or at least can't find the darn thing.

Andrzej P. Wozniak......Usher...
Now I get a dialogue box saying something like "can't install Firefox monitoring"
I'm too f**king frustrated right now at the inordinate amount of time it takes to do this.
Its not showing up in either the ESR extensions list or 57s.
why can't it be a separate file to install like other extensions?

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
There must be some glitch in the installer script. Here is a link to the fdminst.3.9.7.1636 exe installer, it's on my OneDrive. Microsoft seems to block direct links to exe files, so open the link in your browser and follow redirections, otherwise FDM may NOT catch the download properly (ore download it in your browser without FDM).
If you uninstall FDM build 1638 before installing build 1636 and vice versa (uninstall build 1636 before installing build 1638), your problems should probably disappear.

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Here's some news every since FF57 came out even on their own Mozilla forum users are in a uproar that it so far has broken Extensions, Add-On, Plugins from all camps. People as so far there seen no help from Mozilla support and even my posting of People go to Chrome has finally yielded a response from Support to "Get with the Program". I fired back in a professional tone turn that statement around to yourself and then look at all the problems FF57 has created. I told them I never say a Browser break so bad on release as FF57. They so called update better security has been anything but that and acting more like a malware Browser then what everyone expected. They claim by stopping legacy apps helps with so called "Security" but as far as I see it caused more security lapse instead. I also let them know we the USERS are the one to decide what Extension, AddOn, Plugins we use and need not you. Some of US has specific needs and to think you know what we needs is incredulous to think that. I expect them to try to Ban me on Mozilla forum but since the Debacle and backlash from FF57 was their own doing I doubt they can do it now that people has loudly clearly said your FF57 is a toilet bowl flush.

until i migrate from Tinypic this will have to do.......
I can make screenshots but the they don't show up at that place any more.
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at https://gautnw.dm2304.livefilestore.com ... oad&psid=1.
Check the file name for capitalisation or other typing errors.
Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
Probably will have to export the list of downloads first, eh? So I could keep track of where I'm at.
Until I get an unbroken link, I'll do it the old way before there was browser integration.
I have another problem with learning userChrome.css so I can get the tabs below the address/search bars, that's another board, but not impossible, others are doing it.
Right now I'm just using the clipboard method, just doesn't work if I select Firefox in the Monitoring menu.
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
That was temporary link and it's already expired. Microsoft seems to block direct linking to exe files some time ago, so I've changed the link and its description in my previous message. Try once again.
No, you won't. Uninstall should delete the program files and registry entries then ask if you want to keep your service files, but someone reported that it failed. So just do backup *.sav files from your FDM profile.Lone Browncoat wrote:Probably will have to export the list of downloads first, eh?
