Well the add on is now compatible (thanks), but FDM doesn't pop up when there is a file to download. Firefox's downloader pops up instead, the only thing i can do to download with FDM on Firefox is with the right clik menu. I want FDM to pop up when there is something to download, idk if you understand what i mean :s

Newest FDM version works OK with Firefox 7 and 8 beta in Win2000, XP and Win7 (bot 32- and 64-bit version). If you installed both Firefox and FDM as administrator, you should have no problems.
Now you can check two things:
1. Open "Add-ons" menu in Firefox, select "Extensions" option and check if you see "Free Download Manager plugin 1.5.5". Older version means you should reinstall FDM.
2. Open "Options" menu in FDM and check monitoring settings. If monitoring for Firefox is marked, you may have some conflicting add-ons in Firefox or somewhat broken in Firefox config files. You can try to run Firefox with a new profile and most extensions turned off.

Troubles with Firefox have already explained in many topics, just search for them, please. For the start you can read viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15676 and

In the older versions of FDM in those cases I manually changed the filename and FDM saved it with that name or FDM did it, when I activated the according option – all was fine. Now, with 3.8, in every case the old name of the entry in download history will be used for the file name, though it is still possible to change the name in the download dialogue.

OS is WinXP SP3.

+1

This isn't fixed in build 1106 either. I returned to version 3.0 because of this bug. But now I can't even use 3.5 because it's incompatible with FF 7.0.1

Can you please fix this?

I already checked these topics.
Thing is, i have the 1.3.4 version of the plugin. I reinstalled FDM twice and i still get the 1.3.4 plugin =/. I disabled all my other plugin and nothing changed. Changed my profile and still the same. That's why i asked here.
Could someone give me an external link to get FDM's Firefox plugin?

Are you sure you have installed the latest FDM 3.8 version?
Are you sure you have installed FDM as administrator?
Are you sure you have Firefox fully closed before installing and configuring FDM?
Have you uninstalled old FDM before installing the newest version?
Have you checked if the Firefox subfolder in Free Download Manager folder was deleted during uninstall?
Have you read more topics about Firefox, not only the two I recommended? Have you tried all tips from those topics?

There is no separate install for FDM's Firefox plugin. It must be installed with compatible FDM version.

FDM3.8rc addon works with the 32bit versions of firefox 7, 8, 9, 10 with xp x32&64 and win7x32&64 (don't know about vista but who cares....lol)
nightly tester tools and/or compatibility reporter ==> force compatibility.. simple
also people need mark the addon as compatible in the "compatibility reporter".. this helps keep it from being disabled in the addons list down the road
cool.. awesome work :D

that being said.. FDM3.8rc addon does NOT work properly with 64bit versions of firefox  .. it catches nothing.. context menus are there... although they do nothing

just a little fyi  keep up the good work

I reported this back in August. And here's Alex's response to it.

BTW, if you can get 3.8 b1067, that was the last version it worked in.

Yup, the only way I can get it working in Minefield 64bit (now at 10a) is to enable clipboard monitoring in FDM and then copy DL links in Firefox.

Ahhh, well, such is life on the bleeding edge, eh?
