FDM 6.0 ALPHA - LINUX VERSION
FDM 6.0 ALPHA - LINUX VERSION
Dear FDM Users!
Our team is still working on the next update of FDM6.
We're not ready yet to release the new version of FDM6 for all the supported platforms.
But I was approved to release Linux version as a separate update! Yes, we did it!
Please note, that it's an intermediate release which was not tested at all by our testing team.
This release is for those users which, as I, just can't wait. Other users should wait for an "official" update of FDM6 instead.
What's new comparing to the current release of FDM6:
+ Torrents
+ SOCKS5 proxy support.
+ Minor improvements and bugs fixes.
Download DEB for Linux 64-bit (24MB)
There is only DEB for now. We plan to add RPM also. Do you need something else?

Re: FDM 6.0 LINUX TECHNOLOGY PREVIEW VERSION
Any plans to release this as a direct install for versions of *nix not using .deb / .rpm files?
Just curious, not demanding or anything like that. I currently use Gentoo-based distros and can make either .deb or .rpm files work, but would prefer a direct 'from source' install if possible.

Re: FDM 6.0 ALPHA - LINUX VERSION
I am always a fan of FDM in Windows. Thank you so much for Linux version. I'll install now.
Re: FDM 6.0 ALPHA - LINUX VERSION
Any plans on offering a strictly .TGZ method to install on distros that aren't either RH or Debian based (such as Gentoo and its derivatives)?
