PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Hi Clive . As I can see you have read the latest posts, please can I ask whether you and/or others in the development team have any observations or planned intentions regarding my 2 posts and those of Usher relating to FDM Plugin 3.0.3. For additional information I have disabled the 3.0.3 plugin and have resorted to using a new FF57+ compatible extension"Download with Free Download Manager (FDM) which does work. Admittedly that extension is not as contained or as nice as FDM plugins. For example it shows the normal FF download window first, and when you OK it THEN opens the FDM add download windows (extra step), regretfully with the main FDM GUI behind it. None of the issues I have described in my posts exist using that extension and ss I have not uninstalled the latest FDM 3.9.7 build I feel this confirms that the issues experienced by me are entirely down to the FDM plugin3.0.3l and not the main FDM app.
Hope this helps

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I think I found a temporary solution to FDM lite & Firefox 57. To me after installing FF 57 meant not going back to any prior version. It just feels way more smoother. So this is what I did:
1. I enabled legacy support: https://www.ghacks.net/2017/08/12/how-t ... irefox-57/
2. Closed my Firefox.
3. Re-installed FDM Lite.
4. Configured FDM.
5. Launched Firefox.
6. Went to a random link, clicking on it don't seem to work since the download starts with Firefox's own download manager. BUT if I right-click on the link and select "Download with FDM" the windows pops up.
Not the fastest way, but it only takes an extra click.

When ı watch video from youtube etc Download button dont show. How can ı solve this problem?
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I can confirm that with FF57, the FDM extension randomly downloads images of pages I have visited earllier. It is most noticeable at FF startup.
Please fix it!

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
FDM extension seems to properly ignore regular links like hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page/index.html but it tries to catch links with no extension like hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page/ or hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page or even with parameters added like hxxp://example.site.org/folder/page/search?q=dummy

FDM 5.1.33.6971
Firefox 57.0
When doing a Google search (and displaying a new page), FDM jumps in andtries to download the widget for Google login ( https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogi ... G1mw&hl=de)
I could bypass this only by adding google domains to the ignore list.

We are currently fixing the problems of the Firefox extension.

Is there any news on the new FDM Extension for Firefox 57?
And will you provide this new extension for the "old" FDM 3.9.7 too? It would be great!
Many thanks for your work!

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I think that the problem is the new FF start page, where it shows thumbnails of the pages recently visited. For some reason, the extension is catching the links to those images.
Please, we need a fix! (especially now, since Flashgot extension no longer works with FF57)

FDM is capturing some stuff it shouldn't. can't exactly identify the problem...
But like my google loging page tries to capture a web page called 'recovery' when i disable the plugin it loads what appears to be a normal page with the recovery options for my account. i guess it randomly decided to ask me for my account recovery options as it likes to do from time to time, but FDM shouldn't capture it.
it's always capturing https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/agJkK ... u6ns=w1000 seemingly at random intervals.
and when i go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/dax-global ... nd/podcast it captures the xml file.

Please update your Firefox extension, right click on it in your browser, choose "update extension" and restart the browser. The version of extension should be 3.0.5.

Hi! Firefox 57 + FDM 3.9.7 here, extension v3.0.5. The skip list doesn't work here, I added "TurboBit.net" to it but FDM still want to capture the download

So when i try to open http://www.blogtalkradio.com/dax-global ... nd/podcast it captures something called podcast.rss where as when i have the plugin disabled it adds it as a bookmark.
