When I try to download a torrent file (click on a .torrent file) "Add Bittorent download" section activates normally. When I click Advanced button, sometimes FDM freezes or generates error raport and closes itselves. (I use Vista Business). I installed FDM Beta 6 build 650 and 655 several times (clean install) but nothing changed.

I using the simple final one. It's good but I think its good to see the FDM is growing again. PLEASE. DON'T MAKE A COPY OF FLASHget. It's a crap. I think uTorrent for torrent, FDM for http/ftp, mule-ed2k.

So I think you understand what I mean.

Maybe you should modify this topic to force people to register...

Hi... first of all I really like this application, it works great most of the time.

But I have an issue with monitoring when copying several URLs to the clipboard at the same time i.e.:

[Well, I can't make the example since the forum tells me I'm spamming, but here it should show a list of rapidshare.com urls - not working of course - just to set an example of what I mean by copying several URLs]

The dialog that shows up only adds the latest URL - not all of them. So only solution is to disable monitoring, then copy all URLs and use CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste them into the application.

Would be very nice if it could be fixed. When downloading through the Site Explorer I've seen a dialog show several URLs, so most of the code should already be there.

Renamed Files

With the new Beta, I got a problem, which I didn't have in the former version. Operating System ist Vista HP and I'm using the IE7. FDM ist my favorite program for more than 3 years and I never had this problem.

FDM renames some files. The last BETA didn't show this. I have to manually rename the files and give them extensions.

Does anyone know this behavior?

Hello Alex,

as you can see in the screenshot, FDM renames the files due to where they are saved. For example, if a file ist saved into the "software"-folder, the file is named "software(1)" without any extension.

But not all files are renamed. The most, approximately 75%, are saved under the correct name. I never saw this in older versions, so I presume, this is a bug in the BETA. Or do I have a wrong preference?

I tested some settings, but the bug ist still there. As long, as it is a bug...

It needs to compete with Star Downloader.

Hello.
Please write to support and provide step-by-step details on how to reproduce this bug (including real urls of your downloads and names of folders you save your downloads to).

Torrent file problem

I got a small problem with the torrent feature of the fdm.

Downloading and seeding works fine for me, but the problem is the torrent file itself. My firefox downloads the torrents in a temporary directory. The torrent starts from there without any troubles, but if I restart the PC the content of the temporary directory will be deleted (including the torrent file). When the FDM starts after reboot, it does not find the torrent file in the temporary directory and "ignore" the download (behaviour like the download never exists).
It would be nice, if the fdm saves a copy of the torrent file in a seperate directory, and deletes the torrent file when the download is finished.

I hope that can be done :)

Is there any way i can minimize it to the toolbar and still see the progress in the same toolbar like how Window Media Player can?

FDM adds itself to autorun. There is no problem here.
