Re-check file in torrent
Re-check file in torrent
A feature I've seen in pretty much every advanced BitTorrent client is a re-check of a torrent to see if any corruption sneaked into a torrent download during a stopped download or after a completed download. This feature was particularly useful for me since I could take complete files from other multi-file torrents and insert them into new torrents that also contain these files for various purposes.
For example, I could make a new torrent complete faster by inserting a file from an old torrent that I believe is also part of a new torrent so I wouldn't have to download it again, or use a new torrent to patch a file from an old torrent that, while complete, was corrupted, because the original file for the old torrent was corrupt.
The way FDM's BitTorrent support appears to work now, a new torrent download always starts from the beginning. I can't see any way to insert old files into new torrent downloads.
