I am a user of Free Download Manager since before 2010.
The new version look good, but not has several features from 3.9.7 being mainly :
- Shutdown after download all files.
- Option to select a value any size in allocate disk file for new download.
I yet continue using 3.9.7 because has the options above.

you are right, the features present in the older version are partially lacking from the new ones, but we are considering bringing some of them back.

The vote form for feature requests says auto-shutdown has been added, but in 5.1.37 (current as of June 15, 2018), I could not find "shutdown after all downloads complete", only a per-download shutdown, which is greyed out if the download is queued. Or am I missing something?

This really needs to be a top priority. The old version (newest I can find is 3.9.7 b1638) was superior in every way. At this point I would just be happy if the official FDM browser addons supported FDM 3.x.

That's a highly unlikely scenario.
