I have recently installed FDM with the hope of avoiding the frustration of re-starting download over and over again due to loss of connection. I tried 3- 4 files I have been trying to download in the past without completion. BUT, unfortunately FDM also failed miserably!!!! A file of size 460MB FDM downloaded 36KB and declared download successful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another file of 421MB FDM downloaded 24KB and showed successful!!

What is wrong?????????? Can anyone shed some light please!! I am using Windows XP and IE and Firfox as browsers.

I think you should probably change this thread title from don't download to wont download.

you appear to be downloading a web page rather than the actual file. do you perhaps have to give a password? or have automatic links selected.
