Re: FDM 3.9.5 icon in systray
Hello, just figured out I could post without registering on forum...
I'd like to point 2 issues:
Thanks for the great DL I use for years. I hope it never ends abandoned like GR.

FDM by default minimizes to tray when clicking the "X" (close) button. If you want to really close FDM you can:
- change FDM settings;
- use Alt+X or menu.
NOOOOOOOO. There are no active DLs and no data are written. I always close the program via right click on the collection box and select "Close". And this really closes the application, because I can't see it in ProcessHacker any longer, but the icon is still there. When I hover over it with the mouse, the icon goes away.
This never happend under version 3.9.4.
This bug started at build 1530 (3.9.5 build 1530), 1526 was ok. The guys who reported it means that after you Exit (Alt+X) FDM, the tray icon does not disappear even after fdm.exe process terminates. This has the same apparent behavior of any process that is manually killed (by using a task manager) and thus does not close its icon in the tray. During normal process shutdown (as is the case we are reporting), I think this could happen because a failure in the function that should remove the tray icon immediately before the process is terminated.
Passing the mouse over the ghost tray icon makes it vanish. - Installer does not replace files is they have the same version, even though they are newer and have newer signature. If I remember, old versions did update all files.
Thanks for the great DL I use for years. I hope it never ends abandoned like GR.

finally someone who understands it. Can you please share the installer for Build 1526, so that I can make the downgrade to fix this issue?

You are welcome: http://files2.freedownloadmanager.org/3 ... st1526.exe
Please confirm if there is no bug in 1526, because we haven't seen it. Neither in 1526, nor in 1530+.

I'm sorry, it seems build 1526 is also affected, I don't remember exactly the last good one, maybe 1522? (I'm not sure anymore). The last good I have archived is 1515, I haven't keep builds between 1515 and 1530.

Usher wrote:It seems to be a problem with your system, not with FDM.Guest wrote:i have try 3.9.5 build 1530 (portable mode)
full ver still popup cscript and torrent association always checked(uncheck, quit FDM, start FDM, always checked)
lite ver works fine
FDM plugins may run some javascript code in a browser using it's engine, but inactive FDM doesn't run cscript. Cscript is a console (command line, standalone) version of Windows Script Host and it may be invoked to run some .wsf, .vbs, or .js script by malware.
You may need admin rights to set or remove associations with torrent and magnet link but other settings for bittorrent protocol should be available for any user.
Test FDM on a clean system with no malware, no broken associations, no damaged Windows user profile.
can verify "portable mode" ,thanks
Re: FDM 3.9.5

Hey "Guest", 1526 is also bad, when I posted about I did from memory and failed in the correct number.
If you need 1515, here it is: http://ri.cardo.nom.br/fdm/fdminst.3.9.5-RC-1515.exe

then seems the bug started in 3.9.5 RC build 1521.
3.9.5 RC build 1519 should be the last version without the bug.
BUG: FDM deletes a download without confirmation.
Hey there! I already created a topic for this but after looking at unanswered posts and seeing that a post way back year 2013 is still... well, unanswered, I decided to post it here.
Some download links from a certain site (Kissanime.com) automatically get deleted at the start of download. Meaning it does not even download to 1%. The item disappears from All Downloads and the only trace for it is in the History tab. And under the "Downloaded" tab of History it says: Was deleted (dd/mm/yyyy).
To reproduce the problem I just download a video from the site using FDM. Not all videos have this problem. But if you find one, I'm 99% sure it will get the same problem over and over again. Weird thing is, this problematic download works fine when downloaded using the browser's (G Chrome) download manager. Link for the video (Fairy Tail anime, completely SFW): https://redirector.googlevideo.com/vide ... 08&key=lh1.
OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Browser is G Chrome, latest version (27 April 2015).
FDM is v3.9.5 Build 1537.
Please just ask me for any additional information. I'll do what I can to get it for you.
URL of page: http://kissanime.com/Anime/Fairy-Tail-D ... 4?id=99695
Cannot get log of download because it deletes itself from "All Downloads" without any way (that I know of) of getting it back. And no, I do not have the option to remove completed downloads (although it does not even download a single byte) from list, checked.
