I suggest to provide download IP outside yutube, maybe my view is naive. In some places (such as China), DNS will be polluted by the government, causing the problem of unable to download. This situation can only be solved by VPN. I suggest that FDM can provide some temporary IP address to replace VPN, even if it needs to be changed frequently. I think it seems to be a positive plan, of course, I don't understand the technical difficulties. Some websites, such as“ clipconverter.cc ”, will provide some links outside of YouTube to get downloads, so as to break through the restrictions.

What your asking goes beyond FDM does and that is something the user must do. FDM is a basic downloader they aren't in the business of Politics. That should be done on another site other then FDM.

Then I request them to support extensions. that would be helpful with out involved in politics.

So whom is Guest that keeps posting but don't identify if they are Corp or some Black Entity sowing discord here? Extension is the property of each Extension developer to create and support. FDM is a free unpaid software that does what's it does and nothing more. To do more they would charge subscription fee to log and chat here to safeguard their FDM program from more bloat then need be.
