This worked only for once when I installed .crx extension in Opera with these details:
Version: 34.0.2036.50 - Opera is up to date
Update stream: Stable
System: Windows 10 64-bit (WoW64)

Then it never worked, even with Clipboard monitoring. :(

Any manual settings for making Opera to transfer downloads to FDM??

D. Yessa wrote:Hmm. Lets' try this:

1. Turn on Chrome monitoring in FDM settings.
2. Close all browsers. Check that there is no process "fdm_nativehost.exe" in the Task Manager.
3. Launch Opera and look into the Task Manager again. Is fdm_nativehost.exe running?

Its working.
I reinstall extension, try again and its work.
Thanks for help.

P.S. Free download manager is the best download manager.

Updated to v2.1.4, sorry for the delay.

There were a lot of changes. If you had any problems with previous versions, please re-check them with this one.

Dear User!

Could you kindly describe your problem in more details?
Could you kindly indicate the OS and FDM version number you're running?

Regards,
Clive

hello, I've been doing this method for a long time but it does not work on fdm 5 unless i installed fdm 3.9.x

also the case it's "working" when i install 3.9.x is only when i tried right-click then "download with fdm"

otherwise it's not caught by fdm 5 but instead is sent to browser download manager

in case you need this information:
browser: opera 40.0
OS: win 7 32-bit
usable Ram: 3 GB
extension Ram usage: 9~10 MB
active extension: ublock origin, violent monkey, no more duplicate tabs!, extension source viewer, apk downloader
extension version: 2.1.9
fdm version: 5.0.1 and 3.9.7 (partially working), 5.0.1 only (not working at all)

thanks

Hello!

Please provide sample URLs where you encountered the issue with FDM 5.1 and Opera.
Is the Google Chrome integration switched on in the FDM settings?

Regards,
Clive

this is the example download where it is not working (click download first there)
http://filehippo.com/download_klite_mega_codec/
as the download link is generated, the download is getting caught by the browser instead

i didn't switch on chrome integration as the other days i switch it on, it says that i don't have chrome installed, i will retry switching it on an report here again ASAP, sorry for the long reply

Still won't work with Vivaldi 1.7.715.3 (Official Build) (64-bit). Tried everything, nothing works.

On Vivaldi 1.9.818.50 (Stable) with FDM 5.1.28.6375 and FDM Extension 2.1.42 downloaded from the Chrome web store
and Chrome integration enabled in the settings the integration still doesn't work. I Can right click and send the download to FDM however if I left click the download gets queued on Vivaldi. I even tried manually installing the extension provided in the first post.

Dear User!

We do not officially support this browser.
Have you restarted the browser after installing the extension and enabling the integration with Chrome?

Clive

Are there any plans to officially support Vivaldi?

As Vivaldi can use most Chrome extensions, I would have thought selecting Chrome would have allowed it to just work with Vivaldi, but it doesn't catch the downloads as expected.
