FDM 5/6, Opera and other Chromium-based browsers

Dear Opera (and other Chrome-like browsers) users,

Integration with your favourite browsers is in our TODO list, but not in the near future. Our efforts are currently aimed at making FDM 5 more stable and responsive.

Though, our Chrome extension should work fine in these browsers (we have tested a bit). You only need to install it - it's not that hard. For example, for Opera:

1. Open Opera and download the crx extension.
After that, a warning should appear:

2. Click that "Go" button. If this panel did not appear, navigate from menu: Opera > Extensions.

3. Find the FDM extension and allow its installation.

If you find any issues with our Chrome plugin in any Chrome-based browsers (except for this inconvenient installation process :|) with FDM 3.9.5 or 5 Preview - please report them here.

If you expect some reaction on this (since the extension really works for other people), please provide some info:
1. http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/boar ... =1&t=15624
2. Is extension enabled in Opera?
3. What URLs it does not catch?
4. Is Chrome integration turned on in FDM? If not, try to turn if on. (Though, should work without it.)

What's your exact Windows version & build? (Right-click on "My computer", Properties)
Do you have any specific Opera settings?
Do you have other Opera extensions installed?

Your problem does not reproduce on clean install. So, please provide as much info as you can.

Hmm. Lets' try this:

1. Turn on Chrome monitoring in FDM settings.
2. Close all browsers. Check that there is no process "fdm_nativehost.exe" in the Task Manager.
3. Launch Opera and look into the Task Manager again. Is fdm_nativehost.exe running?

1. Why shun Opera browser? After all it is one of top 4 most used web browsers in the world. Hope the FDM developers come up wid an official extension for Opera ASAP!

2. The extension won't work with Opera 28 n FDM ver. 3.9.4(I had to go back to 3.9.4 as the 3.9.5 build was unstable)

Its working.
I reinstall extension, try again and its work.
Thanks for help.

P.S. Free download manager is the best download manager.
