I'd like to make an earnest request that's rather important to me.

I often have to use multiple segments to get decent speeds when downloading and the problem is when downloading lots of smaller files (say about 15MB). FDM only starts the next segment connection when the last is downloading and with files that small it completes before there are enough connections to utilise my full bandwidth. I think this is a real problem for a download manager.

I know I can set it to download two files at once which helps with this problem a little but also creates a new problem, that I might exceed my connection limit on some servers causing me to be kicked or given a temp ban which is even worse than downloading slowly.

It would be great if there was an option to let the segments all start (or at least all after the first connection is successful) at the same time, that way the smaller files aren't 90%+ complete before there are enough segments to fully use my connection speed. This would also help a little with lager files as when using 10 segments it takes quite a while to get going especially when latency is slow.
