I am also sick of the chrome extension request every FDM startup mentioned in FDM FAQ that I have reverted to 3.9.3 also the bug that thinks I have uninstalled FDM each time I exit it (when in portable mode) makes it so unbearable that I would rather use a browser to download and restart them from the start if they fail than using 3.9.4!
