Hello,
Try to prepend the path with // . So you should get //homenas/Disk 1/Downloads/... . Please let me know if this helps.

Just realized - with FDM 6.1.0.1320 (a95be6) the setting Automatically remove deleted files from download list seems to have stopped working.

I DL to my normal Windows DL directory, and from there I move files to where I want to store them if I plan to keep them - and when I moved the files, they would simply disappear from the FDM Main interface.

Now, they are not - the files are still listed there with an error message in red stating File is Missing.

Windows 10 X64 Pro Insider Preview build 18875 (although for the last two weeks it has been on build 18865)

Any ideas on what I should try, Alex?

Hello,
Sounds like the appropriate setting is just disabled in your FDM.

But it is not. Sorry, should have mentioned that.

Along with the fact that I manually disabled then re-enabled it just to make sure....

Alex, it worked perfectly. Thank you :D

Any way it does it automatically ?

Edit: Another thing

I'm also getting this:
Preallocation failed: Not enough free space on the destination drive.

Another user said:

Can you help ?

Thank you

Usher wrote:And you know that there are ignored pull requests to fix regressions in FDM 5.1 localization files?

Hello,
No, I don't. I'll check this (I hope) when it will be the time to localize FDM6.

Livy wrote:By the way, is this alpha version "safe" to use? In the other words, are the core download libs stable enough? I can bear with bugs here and there, but not broken downloads and corrupted files.

Yes, it's safe. I use FDM6 as my the only downloader.

Hello,
FDM6 creates a special hidden ".freedownloadmanager" folder on your disks you save your downloads to. If this folders gets deleted somehow, FDM6 can't be sure any longer that it's the file was really deleted, not the disk was just removed. That's why it's not deleting such downloads. It's current alpha version behavior, which can be adjusted to be smarter in the future...

We'll try to find a way to do this in the next versions.

FDM6? Please provide some details.

Ahh. Let me see what the status is on that folder, then.

Yes, the folder does in fact exist. Let me see what actually happens in the folder when creating a download and executing it and see if I can figure out why it stopped working for me.

I don't know what I did, but the folder already existed with 2 files, a uuid and readme. I read the readme, then restarted FDM again and it started removing items.

I'll continue to monitor to see if it occurs again, and if so, post back.

I think I might have a clue as to what is happening, Alex.

FDM 6.1 Alpha, latest.

Firefox Nightly, latest (update every day at minimum).

I just noticed this, never actually paid attention - it seems that when I close the last instance of Firefox Nightly, it, for whatever reason, closes FDM as well - not minimize to tray, actually exits the application completely. Since, while downloading files, I normally keep the Main UI open, it didn't occur to me that FDM was being closed out - I thought it was simply minimizing to the tray.

And when Fx closes FDM, and I them move a file, FDM doesn't realize I have moved the file and throws up the missing file warning.

Please let me know if you need any logs, or other information.

I am using Ubuntu 19.04 and current FDM 6.1.0.1320 does not work by default because openssl 1.0.x does not exist and could not be installed by apt. After I have download openssl 1.0.2 source and make install to system, FDM works.

If any user has the same problem, following the steps:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/297 ... untu-14-04

I hope FDM developer will support openssl 1.1.x or later in next build.

It is amazing to see fdm on linux :D :D :D
Maybe better to use flatpak instead of deb to reach more users :)
