Can I, AND where can i find your FDM for my Ubuntube
Can I, AND where can i find your FDM for my Ubuntube
I hope this is the right place to ask this. I hope also I am not too stupid to understand your answer.
My system: All I know is I have: Ubuntube 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, Easy Peasy, Netbook kernal, and Open office, and use firefox. I avoid any windows because it seems to fight with anything except windows. My updates are current. I got this information by selecting Systems/Administration/Software Sources on my computer.
History: I had trouble with downloading (on some downloads AND listening but not all, I get cut off of download part way through AND break-up of message without omission of message). when I asked the site about it, they said: "Q. The sermons don't download fully and are cut off?
Answer. If when downloading sermons they seem to be cut off and not fully downloaded we recommend you use a file download manager to ensure the full download of the materials. We have found this download manager to work best:freedownloadmanager.org." At the bottom of my email question to this site, when the response came back to me, there was: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.17) Gecko/2010010604 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.17 attached to the bottom of my question to them that I DID NOT PUT THAT THERE, but it may be something added automatically that describes my system. I have not purchased/added things that it seems your users have. I use comcast.
When I went to your site, there was a lot about windows but no obvious Ubuntube download button. I read you FAQ and some other Q&A looking for help. I clicked the notice “Ubuntube” in the upper right corner on your FDM page and read the discussion but still could not tell how to get the right version for me.
Question: #1. Is there a FDM for me? Could you tell me in a simple way how to find it, and download it? I need simple words like " go to this link, left click the link on that page that says "...."
#2. Somewhere on your site i saw: Note for Firefox users. In order to use the new browser monitoring feature of Free Download Manager you should uninstall FlashGot extension first. Where/how do i know if that is something i need to do?
Thank you very much for helping some one like me just getting to know things about computers.
Joan
