to add description to the file when it is downloaded

I am using FDM from past 10 years or so, my friends tried to tempt me with the cracked version IDM but to me FDM is (was) the best unitl the release of FDM 5.

what i feel is that it just the downgraded version of FDM 3.5 only improvement is the UI. there is no control except to pause or to stop, you cant increase the sections also.

FDM 5 took almost 1.5 years for roll out but still i feel that it was too early for the roll out.

Please make this interface like the old version where FDM 'sniffs' for video to download....
When you hover over a video in a browser, the old version used to pick up on if you wanted to download.

Sad that feature isn't available now.

i love all feature in 3.6 version...

run/open the file on download..

i like this new version, my english is not very well.
Although it is easy to understand the icon, but I still prefer to localize the content。

FDM 3.x had a feature where we could add descriptions (called comments) and they would be appended to the filename automatically.

Yes, we can alter the filename directly now, but it would be great to have the comment feature resurrected, with options like automatically insert the URL, Hash string, user-defined string, etc. Bonus if you could code it so that we could use placeholders that would increment, like numbering, lettering, etc.

Or, else, resurrect the descript.ion feature to create descript.ion files along with DLs. I myself, however, would prefer the comment thing.

it's really good if you add refreshing feature for the old links as that available in IDM>

Add a widget to watch downloading Procedure without orpening fdm window.

please add option for changing the download address because many sites have expiring download links.So if the option is available we can resume downloading without completely starting over again
