Wrong file downloaded with IE and FF

Postby lut » Fri Aug 03, 2012 3:07 pm

Hi !

I have been using FDM for at lease 5 years. I like many features of this FDM. One of the most useful feature is the spider which we to download a website like tLDP.org for offline reading.

In the last few years, I have been face with FDM downloaded the wrong files. Especially on all the bank websites, it always downloaded a script file, index.htm, login.htm, rather than the targeted *.csv files. The same problem happen irrespective of Windows OS planform (XP/sp1/sp2/sp3, Vista /sp1/sp2). Browse IE6,7,8, Firefox 3..14. The same problem happen to many sites that employ php server.

As the IE only free download manager I used, it intercepted all my download in most case if it is normal file and not on any php server, it will be fine. Otherwise some junk were downloaded. Anyway I use firefox with Download them all extension which solved all these problem. Except when I use the bank sites where they use ASPX. Will FDM fix these problems?

In version 3.9 there is a download all files choice. But it chooses files it want rather that let user to have a choice like provide a check box. Somethings that like those in the "download them all". That will be nice. posting.php?mode=post&f=1#
