Sorry for double post, but @Usher you even haven't see my screenshot, which I mean the folders in the %appdata% root folder.like below.
%appdata%\Free Download Manager\
%appdata%\FreeDownloadManager.org\Free Download Manager\

They are both for FDM 3.x, the upper is for 3.9.4 and earlier.and the latter seems to be for 3.9.5 and later. But Why two?

Even I deleted these two folders. They will be created again when I started FDM. Why not just get only one like below just instead of both of the two?
%appdata%\FreeDownloadManager.org\Free Download Manager\

You don't understand me. I know the current state of FDM folders and I don't like it. But I'm not a developer so I can only propose some better solution. If you like my suggestion, maybe developers agree to implement it.

ok, then you want an explanation for kids... here we go...

1 - in any browser open this website: http://mp3tag.de/en/download.html
2 - click in the direct link: mp3tagv268setup.exe (http://download.mp3tag.de/mp3tagv268setup.exe)

now FDM will start to download a download.html file instead of the exe file.

or you can also try...

1 - open FDM.
2 - click in the ( + ) icon and add the following link: http://download.mp3tag.de/mp3tagv268setup.exe

now FDM will start to download a download.html file instead of the exe file.

I hope you unstertand now, because is really easy to test.

In what browser, what OS? This is the last warning.
I'm not going to guess any more, the download link works for me.

it happens in any Browser supported in FDM and in any OS supported in FDM.

the bug is not related with Browser type neither OS type, because you can even test it in a simulated environment and the bug is still reproducible, so it means that practically is a bug of FDM core

Stop kidding. It's not an answer. Name only configurations that you have really tested - in any case name at least browser, OS, security measures and Internet connection.

It's not a FDM bug. It's someting broken with your Internet connection or your system configuration.
You should first check settings of your router, firewall, proxy, antivirus, internet security suite and other similar software that can monitor your Internet connection. You should also ask your admin and ISP provider - maybe you are not allowed to download files at work or at some time of day. And finally you should make sure that all your systems, disks, pendrives, memory cards and other media are free of malware.

OS: XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10
BROWSERS: IE, FF, GC, SA, OP

in all of them the bug is present.

everything you mentioned was already verified, I'm not a common user, and I've tested the bug in different environments, and in all of the ones I've mentioned abover is reproduceable, even just opening FDM and adding the link manually.

well, is not my problem if you still don't understand how to reproduce a simple bug that I already explained in detail in previous posts.

Video/Audio merge not happening here with the new version 1521 too.
I tried 480p for both links.
FDM is downloading seperate video & audio file.

To download videos, is it required that the option "start download automatically (after silent creation)" to be enabled?
Coz if its disabled then videos dont download & fdm gui shows download stopped.
But other file download works fine with the option disabled.

Have you read my answer here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17016&start=60#p40054

What is wrong with automatic start? How can you expect automatic merge without automatic start?

What is wrong with manual start in a specific order?

Do you think download links are permanent?

Do you think you can restart, resume or repeat download-and-merge just starting stopped downloads from the download list any time and any day after FDM restart?

Do you want to propose another download-and-merge method?

I am simply trying to download videos the way fdm offers video downloads.
I tried downloading through fdm video download bar i.e played the video & selected download on the fdm bar, got all the format, selected 480p & audio was auto selected & got a window about that, selected OK, download started & completed. But the file are seperate i.e video & audio file.

The same result I get when I try through rightclick option.

About the "start download automatically (after silent creation)"
I dont know what this option does. Plzz can you tell me?
But in the current stable version installed on my system, I keep it disabled.
And disabling it doesn't make any difference i.e the downloads works as they work in fdm default settings.
So I dont know if merging the videos & downloading single video/audio file requires this option to be enabled in this version?
Coz in the stable version installed on my system, I have disabled the option, and no probs downloading files & videos too.
