when downloaded a bittorent file, it stopped, and when i delete it, it wont delete it, even i delete it from my files explorer, it says the file is missing, it just wont delete, i reinstalled fdm and its still there, heres the bittorent:

It's a very large torrent (40 GB) and its files may be temporarily locked by some program:
- They may be scanned by your antivirus for a few minutes.
- It may take a few minutes in FDM to recalculate checksums on the program close.
If any file is locked, it won't be deleted immediately. In this case some programs may still see the file while other apps report that it doesn't exist. In such cases you have to close the programs which still see the file (FDM and antivirus or internet security suite, etc.) and restart the system. Reinstalling FDM won't help.

Do you have similar problems with smaller downloads?

If files aren't locked by other processes, the following way should always work:
- Close FDM and check in Windows Task Manager that FDM process has disppeared.
- Delete files in your file manager (Windows Explorer, some Commander etc. )
- Restart FDM and observe that the download has disappeared from the download list.

Did you restart the computer and try to delete it again? As sometimes programs as others mentioned are locked and a restart will stop it so you can delete it.

I don't know what you are talking about.
You should be able to remove from FDM any download you want to. It does not depend on if you want to delete it with files or just from the list. It can show you file remove errors, but after the time it has deleted a download from the list.
