you tube not working thread vanished?

noticed this yesterday. thought it may have been my computer, but tried it on a different PC last night and today. And nothing comes up on a search for "you tube" Or "youtube", nothing appears when looking back over the past 2 months of posts. Is this a sign that Google is not going to allow FDM to work on it's platform again and the thread removable is just a confirmation of that? Just seems weird that the whole thread isn't available/viewable any longer. and nothing about the problem seems to show up when searching.
thanks. DD.

suspicious .... I deleted the program a few weeks ago since without the function of downloading videos from youtube it is useless ... a shame I think there is nothing better for downloads than fdm RIP..

That's such a shame then. I hope they clarify the problem soon.
Guess I should stick again to the old fashioned add-ons for downloading youtube vids.
Google can be very troublesome at times.

still no updates? Google can be MORE than troublesome at times ... guess the obvious is obvious. nothing = nothing. oh well. time passes slowly and we are forced to seek alternate routes.

I noticed the thread vanished like 2 months ago. I had the page open so that I could keep an eye on it for any potential updates. Last post on it was made by Alex pretty much saying that there's no need to keep bumping the thread since it wouldn't make whatever legal process they're going through go any faster. I agree with it not helping legally, but completely disagree with removing the thread altogether though, since there was a bunch of helpful information on alternatives to use in the meantime. These threads may not help in terms of the legal battle against Google, but it's very useful for users like us to know what's going on and find other ways of achieving the lost feature. Anyone who comes here with no prior knowledge of the previous thread won't have any idea what's going on and why that feature isn't working. If each of these threads keep getting shut down, (I've seen at least 5 just get completely wiped), it makes it seem more like silencing or a coverup than anything else.

I recommend using 4K Video Downloader (https://www.4kdownload.com/products/videodownloader/8). One of the many good alternates that were lost in the original thread. It's been working perfectly fine for me.

practically everyone who had fdm used it for youtube now it no longer makes sense to have it on the pc.
It is clear that they do not agree that other users change their download manager, that is why they eliminate the posts.
I take note of the 4k....but I doubt that it will be as effective as fdm...well...a pleasure.

Yes, its uncanny, eerie and wierd that all threads that mentions YouTube has vanished. I hope this thread doesn't end up the same, so people won't be wondering what happened to FDM regarding YouTube video downloads.

I've been using fdm to solely download individual YouTube videos and WHOLE channels effortlessly, i miss that power and flexibility to have my favorites always avaible to me regardless of my internet is up or down (periodically).

I just stream those said downloaded videos via dlna or network share from my home file server to my tv, phone, pc, etc.

Sadly i had to resort to other software (winx youtube downloader, 4k video downloader and various YouTube downloader websites) which no one has the same effortless vibe that FDM gave. Its heartbreaking.

couldn't agree more with the above. i understand not disclosing discussions. But at least a confirmation (IF) negotiations are on-going or not would be nice once in a while. guess we can keep hoping something positive is still in the offing, but without some sort of feed-back, those hopes are in rapid decline. For such a great product as Free Download Manager is, this silence and thread disappearance isn't a good sign for the community. Oh well, i guess there are worse things in life to worry about.

We are still in the process of resolving this issue. We'll keep you posted about all the significant changes regarding this. There is no need to keep asking again and again. Yes, we know it took several months by now, but it does not depend solely on us. So just please wait.
