Re: FDM 3.4 BETA
When set FDM 3.4 BETA to monitor in IE and don't let FDM download the file (ie. press cancel in FDM), the download diaglog from IE is this
Which is not a standard IE download diaglog box. This make it is not possible to save the file anywhere except the User folder. Actually, even that I still can't see the downloaded file.
I don't think this behavior appear in 3.4 ALPHA or earlier version of FDM. Could you fix this? Thank you.

Re: FDM 3.4 BETA
Free Download Manager is an excellent software and will soon (hopefully) reach a new final version status. FDM is now at version 3.4.908 (beta) but there are still two very important issues that remain unsolved, as far as I am concerned.
1) I still cannot get FDM to download ZIP files directly by monitoring the Internet Explorer 8 browser. It works perfectly for EXE files! But for ZIP files, I always have to use the drop box to get the download, otherwise it goes through IE8 and ignores FDM completely. Maybe this also happens for other file types, and perhaps for other browsers as well, but I have not checked them.
2) As already mentioned by several people in other topics, there is the important issue of FDM's inability to download files hidden under php and maybe other types of script. In such cases, FDM saves only a small file download.php, index.php, or index.html, instead of the real file. Here, the drop box offers no help and we are unable to use FDM to download such files.
If these two issues are addressed, Free Download Manager will certainly recover its status as the best download manager in town.

Joe, i'm not one of the FDM devs but I wanted to let you know that these have nothing to do with FDM (or any download manager). As unfortunate as it sounds, it is however, very technically sound.
I'm 100% certain on that with #2. For #1, it sounds like it could be a windows file association problem, or what i'd like to call the Windows PITA default programs. Cheers!

Marc,
You may be right with respect to item #2, although there should be a way of intercepting the browser operation that gets the file correctly.
As to item #1, if the problem relates to file association, how come this problem did not happen with Internet Explorer 7?
Re: FDM 3.4 BETA
"Please do not close browser until the download will be completed." Why? Why so integrated to IE?

Re: FDM 3.4 BETA
Launch button does not work after downloading a video from youtube. It should open with Windows Media Player. (It works with Zip files, havent tested with other file types yet.)
Progress bar in downloading doens't look good using windows classic theme (didnt test with any other). It use the window's background and it should have its own background.
Using windows XP SP3.

It looks like the normal IE download box to me. I always got those, and I am able to chose where I want to save the file after pressing the "Save" button. Though SmartScreen filter does not seem to be working dunno if it is related with FDM, I am using IE8 with XP SP3.
Ok. Working after maximalize, FDM restart and system reboot.

Its working normall for me using XP SP3 32 bits FDM v3.4 908. Dunno what you mean with FDM restart, I have it set to load on startup. Or I am failing to see whats the maximalize issue, everything seems normal to me. I had maximalized FDM, rebooted, (FDM loads on startup), Opened FDM (doble clicked on system try icon) and it opens maximalized.
