We are currently looking for freelance translators from English to Spanish, to translate program descriptions in our software library: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/.

Our minimum requirements are as follows: the translator should be a native Spanish speaker, he / she should understand software and be able to do quality translations of software related texts. Experience in translating IT and software related texts would be an advantage.

Translation is to be performed via a web interface; payment is via PayPal (http://www.paypal.com/). The initial pay rate is $5 per 1800 characters including spaces. If our cooperation is successful, the pay rate will rise to $7. Payment is to be transferred monthly, providing it reaches the minimum of $50.

Hello. My name is Isabel Cubillo. I tried to register and was not able to do it either. I am an official translator and simultaneous interpreter, accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in my country. You can confirm this information here

My native language is Spanish, and I majored in English Literature, studied in Costa Rica and in the US, and have specialized in translation, having had my first work as a translator in 1985. I have translated and done simultaneous interpretation for CISCO Systems, through a translation agency, and for several communication entities, such as telephone companies, from my countries and from abroad. Hi, I am Hector Cardenas Correa, an industrial designer from Mexico, my native language is spanish and I have a 100% english.
I'm very familiarized with software descriptions and terms because I've been using a high variety of programs like tools for my profession for the past 20 years.
I have taught a grade on applied computer science at the university and I understand the difficulty that the users face to understand the main characteristics of the software so it would be very easy for me to translate these descriptions.

I have 15+ years of experience in software development and 6 years of studies in computer and electronic engineering at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. I’m from Mexico City, my mother tongue is Spanish and I have the First Certificate in English, from Cambridge University.

I'm lawyer but in the past I worked as web designer, something that now I do only in my spare time. I'm familiar with software, for example Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Corel, Mind Manager, Swish, OpenOffice, Emule, FDM, Winamp, VLC, Pinnacle Studio, Goldwave, TextAloud, Windows, Alcohol, CloneDrive, Nero, etc. I also have experience reading in English different kind of documents, like tutorials, books about HTML, PHP, MySQL, Flash, JavaScript; Wikipedia, Encarta, Encyclopaedia Britannica, news, warez, cracks, even philosophy documents.

I also have experience building computers, so I know about CPU, RAM memory, motherboards, hardrives, DVDs, CDs, some basic knowledge about networks an so on. Now I’m studying a master degree in Philosophy, so this kind of work is great because I can do in my spare time and it’s something I really enjoy, since I’m a kind of Techie (Well, I mean, just give me a try!).... By the way, your PHP Script is not working, there's an error when I submit the form, I've tried with Firefox and Internet explorer en the error remains, so it must be yours.
