Free Download Manager 2.3 BETA 6
[BUG] FDM 2.3 Beta 6 Build 659 and Vista Home Premium
Free Download Manager 2.3 Beta 6 Build 659 wont start up in Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.
I get no error messages, it simply does not start up.The remote manager and upload tools are working, only the main program does not want to start.
PS : i've set the main program (FDM.exe) to compatibility mode (Windows XP SP2) and now it's working

You are both WRONG!!!
It should read...
Either:
"Grant all of the bandwidth for this download."
or (my preference)
"Grant all bandwidth for this download."
In fact, you grant something TO someone/something, so it should read:
"Grant all bandwidth to this download"
Cheers.

a corrupt download ?
I've been using almost all of the released builds of the betas without much problems. But then after downloading four times the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2007): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
It always resulted corrupted: exactly the same file as I used winmerge to compare them and it says all the 4 files are identical files.
Then I downloaded the file without any dnld mgr, just directly from firefox. It was correctly downloaded.
Could it be something related to the download mirrors FDM is using ?
BTW, I used build 657 for the first two dnlds, and then the latest build 659 for the last two. I'm running Windows XP SP2

Out of memory
Hi all, FDM is great BTW, there are just a few bugs I noticed with the beta. I'm having a problem with the bittorrent downloader. The torrent file opens fine, but I get an "Out of memory" error once when allocating space. The hard drive just kept going. This was a 400MB file on a P3 so that shouldn't take long to allocate, right? This went on for between 5 and 10 minutes and wouldn't stop until I had to wait forever for the Task Manager to come up to force it to close. I tried it again later, and the same thing happened even on a 40MB file except that I didn't get an Out of Memory error. When this happens, the computer is extremely unstable. The OS is XP Pro. Thanks!

Write to support and provide some details about your system, url of torrent, etc. so we'll be able to reproduce the bug.
