The FDM extension on the microsoft edge app store doesn't work for me, there is no option to download things in the right click menu. Clicking on the icon on the address bar just says "loading". I will therefore have to install the version from the google chrome store instead I'm using the latest edge v86 btw.

There is no official extension on "edge app store". Microsoft Edge users should install extension from Google Chrome store. Please note that the only supported version of Edge is the one which is based on Chromium engine.

I never knew about this extension until this time. I recommend you to uninstall it and use the official one.

One can't say anything about FDM3 regarding to work of the app on Linux.

Research into DbgHelp.dll shows that it is a component that is installed only when you install the Debugging tools for Windows.

FDm 6.x will be better if
1. it is unable to capture downloads from chrome in my case i want to download ccleaner the download was not captures by fdm.
2. while adding download from browser why i am seeing main window too, how can i disable it.
3. addition of network mode is not worth it nowadays, limit this function as pause download (limit speed to 10 KB/s) or speedlimit (limit download at user defined speed).

and this is main
#1 i am trying to make you people work less by leaving unneccesary items in this download manager like network mode, progress window, snail mode in the main window etc.
