Hiya Alex!

Superb! Thank you!
I'm gonna use and test this RC right away !

I loved when you released 3.4 beta build 909 by the way : the beta fixed my "booboo" instantly.
I was one of the people affected by the regsrv32-mishap trying to reg the monitor dll for FF & Chrome : after installing the beta from scratch - a fresh & clean new start - everything worked like a charm again :)

So.. release-candidate : here I come. Not that i noticed any mishaps with the beta, but the least I can do is give this RC a thourough testing, and be able to confirm everything is ok for the official release :)

Thanks for all your efforts, time & releasing the best DLmanager out there for use to enjoy !

Alex,

I am very happy with the release of Free Download Manager version 3.5 RC build 928.

I see that there is now a great deal of hope for this project and want to apologize for a few pessimistic messages I posted in the FDM 3.4 ALPHA and FDM 3.4 BETA topics.

I have just downloaded this last version and will try it very soon. But, before anything else, I want to greet you on this last development and to write this optimistic post to offset my previous ones.

I am eager to try the final version.

Thank you very much for your work.

I tested the last version of FDM, 3.5 RC build 928, and it seems that all my previous complaints have been addressed. It is working well now.

I found a small bug though: the Show small notification windows on downloads completion option is not working properly. The small windows just flash briefly, instead of staying. This happens whether I uncheck the Automatically hide after option or if I check it with a high value (say 10 sec), in the Notifications option of the Settings menu.

This used to work properly some versions ago but in the last few versions it got broken.

I have just submitted this version of FDM to Fileforum (http://fileforum.betanews.com).

Firefox 4 support we'll added after Mozilla release updated version of their Gecko SDK.

Are your downloaded files launched automatically by FDM?

Yes, they are launched automatically by FDM. By the way, I am using Windows XP.

One interesting thing (is it a feature or a bug?) is that FDM acts differently according to the file type, at least in Internet Explorer 8. If I download an .exe file, I go directly to the FDM window, but if it is a .zip file I go to the Windows XP window first and only after pressing its save button does the FDM window appear.

This is not bug. Notification window is closed automatically once download is launched.

It seems it's IE's behavior. Can you give me some example link(s)?

Hello FDM developers,

I've installed the 3.5 RC version of FDM, and I'm really impressed by the Flash video download improvements. Good job!
But, I have a few suggestions/bug reports:
1. When I try to download a video from the following site: http://www.vbox7.com using Firefox 3.6.8, I get an error that there is no video on that site. And flash video there is - I can assure you that. Not only that, but a video witch I want to download is playing at the same moment. And if I try to download a video from the same site, but this time by using Internet Explorer (v8.0), the browser itself (IE) crashes with an error, when the mouse cursor is over the flash video player of the currently playing video. But in both cases (with Firefox and IE), the "Download it" button appears for the currently playing video. Can you add support for flash video download from this video sharing site?
2. If I try to download a file from the following site: http://inbox.bg using Firefox or IE, the file is downloaded successfully (at least it did the last time i tried it), but the file is named incorrectly. Instead of the original file name, FDM gives the file the name "downloadfile.php". If I rename the file (incl. the extension), I can manage the file fine. Can you add support for correct file naming for this site? Here is a link for you from this site, for test purposes:
http://inbox.bg/reqFile.php?reqFile=068 ... 74ff3fa427
There is a button with the "Свали" label on it - this button starts the download.
This "bug" with the "*.php" filename of files downloaded with FDM happens not olny with this, but with some other download sites as well. I don't know why though, and unfortunately I can't give you some other examples for such sites, since I'm not prepared to do so at the moment.
3. I made an update of the bulgarian translation of FDM, but even so, the "Download it" button in Firefox is not translated in bulgarian. Do you know why?

Thanks in advance!

Best wishes,
Kostadin Kolev
