Did you try to reinstall FDM and follow the instruction we posted previously?

Windows 10, Avast! 11.1.2253, Comodo Firewall 8.2.0.4792, FDM 3.9.7, Build 1525 monitoring Firefox 44.0.2.

I cannot download through FDM. Downloads start "Starting download," then "Opening file on the disk...", "Access denied," "Stopped." I have to disable monitoring in order to download files.

How come, how fix?

Edit. as pf 16March2016:

Might have been helpful, if anyone was aware of this, to notify me that Build 1627 has fixed the problem. If no one was aware of this, then perhaps no one should have notified me....

Firefox process hangs in background when exiting Firefox main window with FDM Plugin enabled. Manual termination of the Firefox thread is required to stop Firefox and reopen.

I know it's one of those "It's an Alpha" issues, but expect to see this bug in Release too when it reaches that point. It's annoying to have to download, stop download, then copy and paste the link from FF to FDM.

Odd. No issues with Firefox Nightly 48.0.1 x64 builds. Are you running electrolysis?

Does the Native Host keep operating when the issue occurs? If it does, try to stop the host process to see how FF will react.

Besides, please indicate what other extensions you have installed in the browser.

When you say Native Host, do you mean PluginContainer? (I'm not familiar with the term). PluginContainer does end normally, but the firefox.exe process does not. Naturally, ending firefox.exe closes it and allows it to restart again.

Hi, my free download manager version is 3.9.7 build 1627, Windows 7.

I've downloaded few files but every files that I've downloaded was reported as elifible to be resumed but when I stopped them and tried to actually resume them, FDM wasn't able to do it.

Strange thing is that one file in particular (a videogame mod from nexusmod) was a file that I've had already downloaded years ago with an old version of FDM and FDM were actually able to resume it.

Can somebody help me? I've a miserable connection (download speed 75kb/s) and even a 1GB file is heavy for me.

Thanks in advance
