Hey bro. It would be helpful if you can provide me with some real examples (URLs). Otherwise - I have no wish to investigate/fix this issue.

Okay, let me get back in on this thread. The issue wasn't just one url, it was all urls in which the intent was to download a video. Even non yt urls behave the same way. It does exactly what was described. You paste in the url to download, but it doesn't download the complete video, including video and audio streams. It downloads an html version of the page in which the video displayed.

To help, here is an actual live example:

So, if we paste this url into FDM, in order to download the video, it only downloads and saves an html copy of said page in which the video display.

Here is the dialogue that appear for us to choose where to save the html file.

Here is the Elephant add-on installed correctly. And yes, I've already completed the install certificates.command step mentioned early, and I've reinstalled the add-on again, just to make sure.

Guys, I don't know why it's not working for you. Could be either FDM bug, or something wrong in your system config. Try to contact FDM support.

I've updated my add-on to 1.0.3 version (yt-dlp was downgraded due to known issues with SSL configuration).

Good New!

I'm the person that originally had the issue with the plugin not downloading the video, but would rather download a html copy of the YT page in which the video was in rendered.

Well, I'm not certain what the issue was, and what fixed it, but between the latest version of FDM and the latest version of this addon (1.0.3), it seems to have fixed the issue! Nothing on my system has changed since I originally had the issue (iMac).

When I went to install the addon, FDM downloaded and installed python 3.7, or either a library for python, I didn't catch what the exact wording was. I just remember seeing the python logo, and it mentioning 3.7. Now, the installation failed twice, but then it magically managed to install the plugin on the third try? No clue what was going on during that process? Well, I restarted FMD, and tried downloading a random YT video, and it seems to work fine!?

Thanks to the Developer!

I just came to check for the same thing. This plugin was the last saving grace for this thing. I hope it's just a temporary bug and not something worse.

Hello, thank you very much for making such a good software. It can be used yesterday. Today I downloaded WATCH.HTML. I hope the software can be used normally again, thanks.
