in FDM, go Options | Upload manager integration settings, disable integration for Outlook Express.

I've checked 4th version of Outpost - works fine for me.
It asked me for process fumoei.exe and i allowed it.

You should check options.

Outpost and Free Upload Manager

Postby McConnor » Thu Aug 02, 2007 9:55 am

Hi alex

Thanks for the quick reply. I will check that soon. Whats the Upload manager for after all - why would outlook (or anything else) need an upload manager?

IE Right click bug

Postby nedsteel » Fri Aug 03, 2007 11:54 am

When I right click on a download link in Internet Explorer there is a bug. In language pack line 1453 “Download video with Free Download Manager” don’t display in selected language.

Also I've sent this bug to "support@freedownloadmanager.org" with screen capture.

I agree with this.

This is simply a "Free Download Manager", I've downloaded.
not an Upload Manager! was this really asked for?

this should be unbundled, in my opinion.
Just my two cents. ;)

P.S.: continue the great work!!

flash video downloads

Does the flash video download work yet?
I tried to download a few off of dailymotion and it just downloaded the html page...
Doesn't really bother me too much, since I just use downloadhelper, but it'd save me some hassle...

Hi there,

i am new to fdm and i have installed FDM ver. 2.3 BETA 6.
i have problem. i dont know wheather it is bug or what.
here it is-
i have recently downloaded a movie using fdm.
fdm divided it in 6 parts.it successfully completed download.
but after completion, when it is joining those parts,i dont know what happen, but it join six parts and missed some frames in between them.
so my player is saying it is broken copy.
please let me know it is real bug or i have to change some settings.

if it is really a bug then i am switching.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to give answer to your interrogations, but for the installation of new software I'd recommend going for stable, i.e. non-beta.

Make sure you have all required codecs installed.

@alex,
i am using latest mplayer and vlc player with all its latest codecs installed.in whole movie i found broken frames at five different locations,it shows that movie is broken from six part and six parts are made by fdm only.it has downloaded six parts and cannot join them properly.if this happens then it is more serious if i download any pdf or exe as they will not even run.

@twipley,
hey i am not interogating,i am just not cool with this bug.
and thanks for informing about beta now i will try stable version.

hey btw thanks anyway.

I was wondering if all the new features v2.6 are listed somewhere?

And second, the bug fixes, they are fixes from over the previous beta, right?
Because, as far as I'm aware of, I've never encountered any bug with v2.1, which is great.

And, ultimately but not the least, thanks for all the help, support and nice work you've put in my favorite download manager. :)

weird bug... fdm stopped saving its progress, so whenever I exited the program, then started it again, everything was back to some previous state...
I backed up the data files (in user data folder), deleted them, and started fdm up again, then exited and restored the old files... now it's working again :?
Unfortuntely, I don't know what caused it nor do I know how to cause the problem to come up again :P at least not yet...
yes, I know... I'm so very helpful

not...

Alex,
Please do something with DL list & behavior of column tabs: I put 100 files (with stupid names like 001.zzz etc :) in order I want, then accidentally made click on size (or dl time, dunno :) - voila, mess in order I don't understand. Why don't you allow locking this, I don't want any sort options for DL list. It would be very useful to have such of sort options in dialog window for importing bunch of files from browser, as I mentioned few months ago.
