If you haven't found the feature you want on the list, add it to "Other" section.

well, for example few days ago when I tried to download this tool: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html in EDGE and FDM does not detected the download, but few hours later I tried again and it worked properly, so seems to be something that happens randomly.

I've just installed the new "stable" FDM 5.1.15 into same folder as was the old version FDM 3.9.7, which worked perfect and without problems before. But now, when I open FDM, there is NO HISTORY or any other downloads any more...
So how can I continue any older downloads, how can I review the old downloads, if there is all empty and no history now any more? I expected that new FDM will work more flawless if I install it into the same folder as where was the old version, but it seems I was wrong...

Please help me, anyone.

I turn off options "Suggest folders based on file type" and "Remember all destination folders". Then I print "D:\Downloads" to "Default folder" input. But before download starting I see "C:\Users\MyName\Downloads" in "Save to" input. Why?
Then I turn on option "Remember all destination folders" and in dialog window I see "D:\Downloads", but I choose download file to desktop. And next time download I see path to desktop, but not to default folder.
I think there are must be radio-switch for "Use default folder" or "Use last folder". And option "Remember all destination folders" needs only for quick choice from list of "Save to" combo. It will be more logically, I think.

I set the folder 'D:Download' but at each query the default folder is the 'Users' folder. The program doesn't remember the setting.

The settings are not as good as in the old one (3.9.7), too bad.

thank you Clive, anyway for now I've returned to FDM 3.9.7 until the network transfer speed bug is fixed, I hope you guys can fix that bug soon, maybe is better to create an extensión for Edge, due now Edge will start to support extensions with the Windows 10 Annyversary Update that will be released tomorrow.

This may seem like a silly idea, but can you put FDM and version number in your setup file. Makes it easy to track different install files from different vendors in a large "Downloads" folder and i won't have to keep downloading the same version multiple times because I can't tell which is which.

I guess FDM 5.x is now stable? If yes, then why are updates still being posted in a thread which has the title of 5.1 beta? It's confusing. I thought FDM 5 was still in beta. I came to know it is stable, after I had a look at another thread, where it was mentioned that it is stable now.

Request that either change the title of the current thread, or please post a separate thread for the stable release.

BTW, the UI of FDM 3.x is much better than FDM 5.x. What exactly I don't like, I will have to compare and post. I haven't used FDM 5.x as much yet, so I will post in detail later. I have FDM 3.x installed on my desktop and have been using it since years. I installed FDM 5.x on my laptop, and I still haven't used it much. But, FDM 5.x definitely needs improvements, both in terms of UI and features.

I hope FDM 5.x will soon become as good as FDM 3.x, so I can switch over. So far, I like FDM 3.x better.

Please keep up the good work FDM team. I am pretty happy with FDM as my download manager .
