Hi all, anyone else encountering FDM behaviour when trying to start it, you see it for a moment then it closes?
So effectively, can't use the app.

What windows version/build?
Do you have any downloads on your download list? In what state - active, finished, scheduled, any torrents?
What about your antivirus (internet security suite)?

Please open %localappdata%\CrashDumps folder.
There should be fdm.exe.*.dmp files. Choose the most recent file, archive it, upload somewhere (e.g. to https://anonfiles.com/) and send me the link via the private message on this forum.

HI all, so far I managed to get it to work.

Hi Usher, On Windows 10 Pro 20H2 fully patched 10.0.19042
I don't use FDM for torrents, just web downloads.

1. I uninstalled it.
2. Reinstalled it.
3. deleted all the dumps from %localappdata%/CrashDumps
4. tried launching it 3 times, and once it worked!
5. closed it and launched again to test, then it started crashing repeatedly on launch again.
6. redid step 1 to 4

So at this point I suspected it could be due to me leaving too many downloaded completed files with very long filenames or hitting some kind of size limits.

7. Removed all completed files from the list when i got it to launch.
8. Tried exiting and relaunching 10 times in a row and each attempt works!

Sounds like your video card driver issue. I need one of your crash dumps to be able to tell the exact reason.
