Auto-shutdown failure...?

I'm currently trying out FDM 6.19.1 on Sparky Linux (KDE). When I set the auto-shutdown function to shut the system down when the download completes, the system does not shutdown even though the shutdown feature is set. Can anyone provide feedback on how to resolve the auto-shutdown failure?

Hello,
FDM uses shutdown -P now command. It seems it's not working. Can you launch this command in your terminal and show me its output?

The command shutdown - p shutsdown the system via the terminal using sudo. It just doesn't work when using FDM itself???

Well, this means that this Sparky Linux is not fully supported :) You may have to write a feature request to this Linux developers so they can allow this command to be executed without root rights.
For now, there is no point for FDM to ask for root password to run this command because the user is not supposed to be at the computer at the time this command is to be performed :)
