Hello,
This is not a bug. This is the way YouTube servers works. You don't need to stop/start downloads again. You need to just wait a bit.

I thought it was some kind of bug since this didn't happened in version 5

I can't seem to find a direct link FDM can process when selecting the download server, maybe this is the cause.

That's strange, could you elaborate and show examples of working and not working downloads?

example using this page : https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2 & https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/releases
if you press "clone or download" then download zip...fdm didnt catch it unless on the download zip button you right click and then use context menu "download with fdm" then fdm catch it....the same goes for "releases page" it wont catch anything on that "assets" section unless you right click and then use context menu "download with fdm" then fdm catch it...

firefox & fdm 6 & fdm extension all latest btw :)

Please add support for Edge. It uses Chromium engine now.

It's well known limitation of Firefox (incomplete API for WebExtensions). Read FDM FAQ - Firefox troubleshooting, please.

Got a strange bug when trying to download all with freedownloadmanager (from right click menu) in the sub directories one at a time here: https://rs97.bitgala.xyz/RG-350/localpack/ When that text box came up after downloading files from there for a bit, it would not allow clicking x to close or show any further text such as overwrite or skip etc, I had to quit fdm and reload to remove it. I think it was one of the svg files. 6.7.0.2439 for Windows 10

I also added svg to the preferences 'skip files with extension' as I was trying to download just the opk files, but it was downloading tons of svg files, but there are many svg files still in the downloaded directory so not sure if that is working correctly or not, didnt look too closely as it downloaded the opk files ok. I would love to see the options of the spider like 397 to customize what to dl or skip and depth. That was incredibly useful over clicking files one at a time like here.

A very small thing, please make it so high under traffic limits can modify the upload/download from unlimited like you can do with medium and low.

PS- The bug with voodooshield I had found was just fixed by the developer, it was in the voodooshield program not freedownload manager but had made fdm not work with vs. When you selected a certain option (deny by default) and unchecked that option in voodooshield so it would show a prompt rather than a balloon display, the prompt that pops up to allow a program would not visibly show and therefore was preventing fdm from installing chrome extension and you couldnt tell voodooshield to allow it when that option deny by default was unchecked.Someone who had that option unchecked would never have gotten fdm to work. It has now been fixed so fdm works fine with voodooshield. (VS is a whitelist rather than blacklist security program like a norton, meaning you whitelist all the good stuff and then it doesnt let anything else run without your approval).

Hi,

I posted an issue a while back regarding FDM use of high graphics card resulting in unnecessary use of power. This can be monitored by Activity Monitor app on MacOS.

I took a snapshot of the issue. https://imgur.com/PVkyuWY

Note: both MacOS and FDM are on the latest update.
