The context menu when right-clicking videos and pictures still works though.

I thought I would provide an update to what I have noticed when downloading. When I am downloading for example a program .exe, FDM seems to have no trouble catching it at all. When it comes to pdf files, which is what I typically download, it opens the FireFox download menu and I can't download it with FDM. Same for images, although with those I can still download using the specific right-click context menu as said before.

Hope this might be somewhat useful?

That's odd, because I use FDM 6.x to DL PDFs via right click all the time. I haven't used 5.x in a while now, but I assumed it was not too different - perhaps it is.

FDM addon still have memory leak problem and makes firefox unresponsive after a while. with new changes in firefox at least I can force close it easier but my solution right now is to enable addon only when I need to make a download folder and disable it after that.
Using the link gopher addon is far more safer option then the fdm addon!

also here are the 2 add-ons:

This one is yours I think:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ger-addon/

And this is the fake one I think. reviews claim it has some unwanted hidden connections to some odd links.

Yes, it's the current FDM extension build, recommended by AMO site in newest Firefox versions.

No, it isn't. It's 3rd party extension made by belav, the very first WebExtension working with FDM. There are no UNWANTED links or downloads, only links described in "About this extension" info provided on AMO site.
This extension is not recommended NOW, as it's not updated for more than a year. It still may work properly with older Firefox versions, but most likely it doesn't support download from Youtube now.
Read older messages in this topic, please:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16047&p=45155&hilit=belav#p45155

You can see that there was also really fake extension which abused belav extension and was removed from AMO site. The old review you have found was about that fake. Some unaware people may not recognize that fact.

Any chance the Firefox extension will be fixed to support x64 versions of Firefox and Waterfox?
And as a "quick fix" is it possible to manually tell the extension where FDM is installed?

Mine is just stuck on ( Loading... )

I am running latest release of the extension 3.0.49

Hello,
It is supported. What is the version of your FDM? Make sure integration with Firefox is enabled in it. Try to reinstall it and restart browser after that.

It also doesn't works for me. I used firefox 32-bit version before. After I reinstall firefox to 64-bit (74.0), the extension version 3.0.49 from here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ger-addon/

stops working. I'm running FDM 3.9.7 build 1638. I already set the option to monitoring for firefox.

Thanks

Hello,
We can't reproduce it and do not see how this can happen. Can you please help us? Some exact steps that leads to this bug. You can write them to me via the private message, if you want to.
