Vote for upcoming FDM 5/6 features
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
What split do you mean? MPEG DASH standard, transport streaming (*.ts), any other way?

Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
How about an option to allow 5.1 the ability to download the .torrent extension file only and save it to a location.
I can do this in 3.9.7 allowing a different torrent engine to then collect the .torrent file and do the downloading elsewhere.
FDM 5.1 if allowed to download a .torrent file automatically downloads the whole torrent - I don't want this.

I'll pass it over to the devs.

If you just cancel the download in fdm does it not default back to the browser? Thus saving the .torrent
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
If you just cancel the download (before selecting download folder), where will you find the .torrent file?

Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
Is this possible to add floating download button next to currently playing videos on web page instead of needing to right-click and select "Download with FDM" menu? Just a thought that could make the video downloading process a lot easier. Since current FDM can detect currently playing video, i believe getting the location of it is possible.

If they do this it had better be able to be disabled.
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
1- Rename file when finished downloading and converting (if applicable)
2- Portable version of FDM
3- Resize-able interface
4- File corruption check
5- Convert downloaded Medias (any source) to known media formats (video to video or to audio or frames and audio to audio)

Very simple feature:
MD5 Sha256 etc, to check iso files.

It will be noted.
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
There should be a feature where you can create torrents. Well it's just an idea and I'm not saying it "needs" to be there

We're always looking at new functionality.
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
the number of attempts to restart/resume the downloads which end up in error and the period attempts;
for example you've added all URLs and torrents to the manager and you've gone out to attend to your work. definitely you don't want the whole queue to end up in error (file corruption for example) due to a network error or temporary timeout; thus it would be better to have the manager attempt to restart/resume the file on its own:
options for this feature:
1- time period of retries: 10min to 10min(1 attempt) ... 5min to 5min(1 attempt) ... 3min to 3min(1 attempt) ... etc.
2- number of retries: 1,2,3 ... 10 ...20 ... etc.
there's a same feature in IDM but that has only number of attempts not time periods and it's not FREE.
I think this feature will make FDM more functional upon other managers out there.
PS: I didn't find this feature in current FDM; if there's sth similar, I appreciate someone tell me where I can find it.
current version: 5.1.37.7258
