Hm... this probably has to do with the torrent itself. Or does it happen to different files from different sources?

Hello,

Try downloading the latest version of the extension from the official Google Store offering.

I need help with Chrome. The other day it worked fine. When I do shift+j in the browser it doesn't come up so I can copy the link address to put in the FDM program

Could you follow the reporting rules and provide needed details rather than send complaints, please?

FDM Crew, good afternoon!

I've got FDM's plugin working properly and well in both Chrome (Chromium) and Firefox, both of which within FDM, via the plugin or on its own, is a welcome and effective queued download manager. Thank you for providing it free of charge and in full functionality; I've been using it regularly for a good few years now, and it's a pleasure to use.

My question is regarding the FDM Plugins (for any browser, hence 'Plugins' in plural) specifically, and it's more of a quibble than a complaint, mostly because it's an irritant that I regularly forget to address (or can't, if I'm maintaining multiple sites in my browser tabs). Is there some way of setting the FDM Plugin permanently, by default, to not have any downloads (even JPEGs or PNGs from Google Images or a image archive like DeviantArt) 'picked up' by the plugin (and sent through the FDM program proper), allowing the browser to handle it natively instead, without setting each and every site flag for FDM's browser plugin, when a browser is newly booted up (either Firefox, Chrome or Chromium, or any other browser the FDM plugin might be installed in) individually?

What usually happens when I forget to set the 'Don't catch downloads from this site' (and I have to do it every single time I boot up my browser, before I download anything from a given site, to avoid FDM picking it up) is that the FDM plugin picks it up, and passes it off to FDM for download. I want to be able to permanently set the FDM Plugin in Firefox and Chrome to never, ever pick up a file from a set site (per the 'Don't Catch Downloads From This Site') flag, regardless of when a download comes through (fresh browser boot or not).

If there's something anyfolk here can give me a hand with about it, I'd be very grateful. It's the only thing I come close to really not liking about FDM (and the Plugin), and everything else about FDM I'm very fond of as a regular user.

Have an excellent one!

Hi,

That's quite the settings configuration you're suggesting. But the idea is interesting, thanks. There have been requests to enhance exclusions.

Do you mean the extension?
Please go to FDM settings. In the Browser Integration section, enable the monitoring of Chrome, and next to the checkbox, click on "Verify if extension is enabled". A page opens from where you can install the extension.

Is it normal if i already install and enable the extension and still see "Verify if extension is enabled" in FDM? Thanks

Yes. Did you check the enabled extension?

There is a possible problem with the FDM chrome extension (version 3.0.57, official, from Chrome Web Store), as I reported here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17900&start=690#p50350

It is being considered "not trustworthy" by the native "Enhanced Safe Browsing" feature of Google Chrome 96.
