Re: FDM trying to connect to various addresses
If Windows you should try *SafeMode* and see what happens with torrent. And if the problem doesn't happen then you got malware infections if SafeMode doesn't have issue. Then you need a Computer shop to fix the problem. They are different IP adresses and I don't use Torrent at all. Malwarebyte dete...

Re: FDM trying to connect to various addresses
You are definitely better off going to the MB forums to figure out how to work around MB when it blocks BT in FDM. That is not anything they can really do about here. If it is a single IP that is blocked when MB detects you DLing from it, you can add it as an exclusion in MB. If it is any time you t...

Re: Torrent .unwanted
When we select that we DO NOT want to download a file in the torrent file list, it is because we do NOT want to download it. Downloading and putting in another folder called .unwanted is the same shit that this option doesn't exist, it's actually quite STUPID It would help if you read the posts tha...

Re: best free download manager
A single instance of slow speeds means absolutely nothing, especially without any links showing that it is not the server providing the download in the first place. You should first get a better understanding of how downloading files works. I have a gigabit connection, and some sites I get well over...

Re: FDM6: Assign a virus scanner to scan each downloaded file

So, just for posterity's sake, let me start by saying: Although I have been a βeta tester for MB for a very long time now (since Marcin, the original de...

Re: Duplicate file: Option to skip file
Ahhh, gotcha, if the file is from same URL I get skip, but if same filename from diff URLs I don't get the option to skip, only overwrite / rename.
Makes sense.

Re: Duplicate file: Option to skip file
It already does this for me. I have the options to skip or download. If I choose Download, I also get the choices to overwrite or rename.

Re: Save as option?
That recommendation is both old (from the days of WinVista) and no longer really applicable - because I have literally thousands of installers NOT named setup.exe that call up UAC automatically perfectly fine. And several that I have that are not named setup.exe still work perfectly fine in Windows ...
